About me.

I got interested in cars from a very young age and things just progressed. Over the years I've owned, repaired, restored, modified, broken and scraped many cars of one sort or another.

I've been involved in the Granada club scene for over 10 years and this is where my passion for the MK1 and MK2 Granada has developed and grown.

My personal preference is the MK1 Granada, but since the MK2 is very similar in many ways, I can't ignore them.

About this project.

So, why, then, a MK2 Hearse?

Dunno really, it just happened to come along when I was in the mood for a new project. Impulse took over, as it often does and the rest, they say, is history.

I was at a Granada MK1 & MK2 Drivers Guild show in Germany in the summer of 2004 and got talking to some old friends, Gerd and Marlees. They told me about their hearse, which I had seen them in when the visited our show in the UK several times, and that it had finally failed the TUV - the equivalent of our MOT and that it was sad that it would have to be scraped.

A bit of a discussion over the next day or so and it was agreed that I would return later in the year to collect the car.
